Founder & Principal HR Consultant

Emily Pearson, M.S., SPHR

Monarch HR was created to bring clarity and confidence to organizations navigating the most complex parts of people management. After more than a decade in Human Resources across the public and private sectors, I saw how often leaders struggled to make sound decisions because their HR systems were confusing, outdated, or overly complicated. My goal is to change that.

​

I specialize in simplifying HR so leaders can focus on strategy instead of stress. Whether it’s building compensation structures, conducting staffing studies, improving HR operations, or advising leadership teams, I translate complicated problems into clear, actionable plans. Clients trust me because I bring both technical expertise and real-world understanding of how people and organizations function.

My advisory approach is grounded in more than 13 years of HR experience, including eight years working inside city and fire department environments, a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on HR Management and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.

​

I understand the operational realities of public sector organizations, including the complexity of diverse job functions, regulatory requirements, public accountability, and stakeholder sensitivity. This experience allows me to provide practical, decision-ready guidance rather than theoretical analysis.

Clients engage me not just for technical expertise, but for steady leadership in moments where the cost of getting it wrong is high.

I started Monarch HR because I believe HR can be a strategic advantage instead of a constant pressure point. Leaders deserve a partner who listens, understands the culture they’re building, and provides solutions that work in the real world. Employees deserve systems that are fair, transparent, and thoughtfully designed. I’m here to help bridge that gap.

When I'm not working with clients, you can find me reading thrillers, taking care of my plants, and spending my free time with my husband, two daughters, and three dogs.
